This special exhibition explores the pivotal role played by the Pennypacker family—across multiple generations—in safeguarding and shaping one of America’s most iconic historic landscapes: Valley Forge.

Located in the museum’s second‑floor gallery, the exhibit is presented in conjunction with two major anniversaries: the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and the 50th Anniversary of Valley Forge’s designation as a National Historical Park, the only national park officially created on July 4.

Preserving Valley Forge: A Family Affair is included with all regular, guided tours of Pennypacker Mills. Admission is free to the public. The exhibit is located on the second floor of the mansion. For more information, please visit the Montgomery County official website for Pennypacker Mills or contact the site directly.
